Warranty Terms

1. OneStep.Solar Sp. z o.o., ul. Chmielna 73B/14, 00-801 Warsaw, Poland, passess on the manufacturer's warranty to you, the consumer, for certain products purchased in the Federal Republic of Germany and in Austria for up to 12 years – which can be extended to up to 25 years - (please refer to the respective product description for the product-specific warranty period), starting from the delivery date. This extension does not affect your statutory warranty rights in the event of a defect in the goods, which includes subsequent performance, withdrawal, reduction, and compensation for damages (§ 437 BGB). The exercise of your statutory rights concerning defects is free of charge and is not restricted by the present, additional, warranty.

2. The warranty covers exclusively those material defects that are due to errors in materials or production.

3. In the event of a warranty claim, please submit it via our returns form. Please inform us what defect or error exists and when it occurred or was first noticed. If there is a material or manufacturing defect, we will either repair the product, or if this is not possible, provide a replacement, or refund the purchase price. We reserve the right to send you an equivalent replacement product if the product you purchased should no longer be available for sale.

4. Excluded from the warranty are defects due to improper handling of the product. Similarly, wear and tear on a product is not covered by the warranty. Products that have already undergone repair attempts or are no longer in an assembled state are also not eligible for warranty service. Furthermore, the warranty expires as soon as the product is disassembled from its original installation location and reinstalled elsewhere.

5. If a warranty case exists and we perform the repair or replacement, the warranty period does not start anew from the moment of receipt of the repaired or replaced goods. Therefore, the warranty period always ends with the expiration of the agreed warranty period, calculated from the delivery date, regardless of any warranty cases.

6. If there is no warranty case or if flawless functionality has been proven by our technicians, we reserve the right to charge a flat-rate processing fee of 100,00 EUR plus the costs for the transport of the product. This does not apply as long as you can rely on your statutory warranty rights in addition to the warranty - statutory defect liability claims expire according to § 438 I No.3 BGB in 2 years. In this case, however, we reserve the right to claim compensation for the expenses we incurred if we are not responsible for the defect and you could have determined during the check within your possibilities that you are responsible for the causes of the defect.

7. If the ownership of the goods is transferred to another person, the warranty can also be transferred, provided that the mounted goods remain at their original installation location. The personal change of the warranty holder must be communicated to us in writing (by email or post) within 30 days, stating the serial number and product description. In addition, written confirmation from the previous warranty holder is required, which explicitly transfers the warranty right to a named individual.

8. The manufacturer provides a 12-year warranty for new devices that have been installed according to the installation instructions. The warranty covers all design defects, material defects, and manufacturing defects. The manufacturer does not recognize warranty claims for damages caused by the following reasons:

Claims related to defects caused by the following factors are not covered by manufacturer's warranty:

  • a. Acts of God (storm damage, lightning, overvoltage, fire, thunderstorms, floods, wars, severe infectious diseases, etc.)
  • b. Improper or unintended use
  • c. Improper installation, commissioning, or operation (contrary to the instructions in the installation manual that accompanies each product)
  • d. Insufficient ventilation and circulation, leading to minimal cooling and natural airflow
  • e. Installation in a corrosive environment
  • f. Damage during transport
  • g. Unauthorized repair attempts
  • h. Unauthorized disassembly and reassembly
  • i. Normal wear and tear, including discoloration and scratches

9. In addition, if the original identification features (including trademarks and serial number) of such a product have been damaged, altered, or removed.

10. The warranty does not cover claims associated with the disassembly, installation, or troubleshooting of the customer's electrical systems. The warranty does not extend beyond the original cost of the manufacturer’s products.

Warranty Extension

The manufacturer's warranty can be extended to up to 25 years for a fee and voluntarily. The extension can be purchased up to 12 months after the start of the warranty period (from the delivery of the goods). The warranty extension can be purchased and paid for at our online shop here. Your contact details, serial numbers, and product names are required for this, as well as a photograph of the installed device. The photograph should ensure, according to the Terms and Conditions, that no reinstallation or relocation of the device has occurred. In addition, a statement is required that confirms that at the time of the warranty extension, the product shows no visible production defects.
